GENERAL INFORMATION

The Festival of the Bonfires is offering a one-time $250 scholarship to one senior who will be graduating from a high school, Class of 2025, in St. James Parish.  The winner’s application will be forwarded to the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals (LAFF) for the opportunity to win a similar one-time scholarship of $500 at the state level.

Students should be aware that the application and all supporting documentation are due by December  1, 2024.  If you are interested, please submit completed application to your high school counselor.  No late submissions will be accepted.

Winner of the Festival of the Bonfires Scholarship will be announced at the 35th Annual Festival of the Bonfires at Lutcher Park on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 10:30 am.

Louisiana students chosen for the LAFF Scholarship will be recognized at the annual LAFF Convention during February 2025 and receive the $500 scholarship check at that time.
