BONFIRE PERMITS
The Festival of the Bonfires Committee provides the $2,000,000 Liability coverage required by the Pontchartrain Levee Board for the bonfire tradition to continue. In order to build a bonfire on the levee in St. James Parish, you must have a permit. The cost per permit is $30.00. Permits will be available at the St. James Welcome Center in Gramercy.
Bonfire Permits Meetings Dates are as Followed:
Bonfire Permits will be issued at the Welcome Center starting Monday, November 21, 2022.
(ALL BONFIRE PERMITS ARE ISSUED BY THE FESTIVAL OF THE BONFIRES, INC.) Permission must be obtained from all landowners on whose property bonfires are to be constructed.
NOTE: Any 2022 Bonfire Permits purchased at the Welcome Center must be paid for by check or money order. NO CASH will be accepted.
PERMITTED BONFIRE CONSTRUCTION MAY NOT BEGIN UNTIL Monday, November 21, 2022.
